Road Construction Alert – Please be aware that if you are traveling to our office on highway 494 either northbound or southbound, the ramps to the Tamarack Road Exit will be closed until September 2019. The alternate route is to exit on Valley Creek Road, which is the exit just south of Tamarack Road, travel east to Bielenberg Drive, take a left and follow that south to our office. Our cravings for cool, handheld devices is setting up an entire generation for something called “tech neck.”

Carrie Langer is a physical therapist and athletic trainer at Kinetic Physical Therapy Institute in Woodbury. She says a growing number of her patients complain of neck problems connected to using their electronic devices — including cell phones, tablets and lap tops.

Saturday March 26th Kinetic Physical Therapy Institute and Tri Fitness will have a Running Clinic. We will provide a demonstration and lecture on the importance of optimal symmetry to speed and endurance of running. We will also discuss training programs and nutritional needs for runners of all levels. Please click the link to view the brochure for additional information. Kinetic Physical Therapy Institute is now working with St Thomas University to provide physical therapy services to the students and staff.  Starting Tuesdays in Febuary, Karen Jiran MPT/PRC will be seeing patients at the Health Services on the St Paul Campus.

Karen and Carrie will be in service for Tri-Fitness personal trainers.

We are performing Functional Screening for the Mahtomedi Girls Soccer Program and collaborating with Tri Fitness of White Bear Lake, MN to set up optimal training programs to decrease injuries and increase performance.

Mayo Clinic 2010 Advanced Practice Nursing Conference: Care Through the Ages, Rochester, MN. Carrie Langer is presenting on Postural Restoration and the assessment of the lower extremity.
